NTD drills exclusively for geothermal and has one of the most experienced teams in the world. Our top four drillers have over 100 collective years across 14 countries and over 400 wells drilled.

We lower the costs of drilling with a faster Rate of Penetration (ROP) and the lowest carbon footprint at the lowest cost per well drilled. While that may lower our own revenue per well and per meter, by supporting the success of our clients our own success follows with more wells to be drilled by us instead of our status quo competitors.

GREEN DRILLING METHOD

Our clients need to quantify their best efforts on carbon reduction rather than rely on the accepted limitations of incumbents with legacy rig fleets. Drilling is considered a “Hard-to-Abate Sector” regardless of why you’re drilling. To unlock the benefits of geothermal, carbon intensive drilling has been accepted as necessary

Say hello to the Good Guys and goodbye to the status quo. NTD has been active since 2020 with a specific focus on an innovative “Green Drilling Method” (GDM). The GDM combines equipment electrification with top-hole drilling as its foundation of clean energy and high efficiency. Learn more about the GDM here

Depending on well design and other project specifics, this GDM foundation is further enhanced with dual rotary slim rigs, specialised downhole tools and new cementing best practices. Together, these have a major impact on lowering overall carbon intensity while also lowering drilling costs, a double positive for geothermal.
